That's not bad at all really!!

Most places will sort the height adjustment out there and then... Only a screw driver job after all!!

coincidentally, mine just failed on:

headlight aim too high (the tester fixed that for free),

the rear number plate bulb (I tapped it and it started working again!)

and a twisted front flexi (my fault for not checking after I changed the calipers last month, just unbolted the caliper and spun it round 360degrees and all was good)

The tester also said he liked the tu5 conversion, but wasnt too keen on the wide arches...

All sorted now nice new 12 month ticket

But funny how things start to go wrong on the way home ? Brake switch came loose and indicator decided to play up ? Typical French wiring me thinks?

Unplugged the indicator a few times then re housed it all sorted ? Work that one out ?

Brake switch had come loose - at least it easier to get than a 306

Anthony

Front indicators are notorious for suffering from bad connections, given the unsealed connectors in an exposed environment that encourages corrosion. Normally cleaning up any obvious corrosion, a little WD40, and reseating them fixes the issue.

Front washer pump, earths, driving lamps and a few other bits at the front suffer from the same problem, all owing to Peugeot skimping on connectors. Later cars like the 306 are nowhere near as bad as Peugeot learnt their lesson and used sealed plugs, thus dramatically reducing the ability for moisture to get into the connector and corrode it.
