Unlocking Vtr Ecu Without A Running Car

Recommended Posts

309jazzpanda

Hi guys I have a black top single plug ecu saxo vtr engine going into my Spi engined gtx next week but, when the guy removed the engine for me I asked him to run the car and disconnect the immobiliser for me but the fuel pipes had been cut so he couldn't do it.

Question is do I need to Spend the £80 having ecu tech unlock it for me or am I able to bypass the immobiliser unit whilst I have the loom off? , I don't know if its a simple case of a live and earth here and there or whether its a coded signal to the unit.

Oh and I won't know until later whether the saxo had a keypad. Or not.

Thanks in advance, Andy.

Is the wiring etc still in the car? If so then secong click and disconnect thebattery then unplug ecu, it will be "unlocked". (Enter code if its keypad equipped)

It isn't in the car at the moment but phoned the scrapyard he still has the car and key.

So plug the loom on the car, ignition on, disconnect battery followed by ecu, wow as easy as that

Also I know your the man in the know mei, fuel pump any recommendations? Checked autodata my spi pump is only operating at 2 bar so it says and the saxo is 3 bar
