Don't X-Sport Racing / John Cross Motorsport make exactly the same carbon skin but for a much lower price than that?

X-sport wet layup their carbon. You will get distortion in the weave which will give almost misty patches so not ideal if you want clear carbon.

Vacuum bagging does not disturb the weave as the resin infuses.

Still too much. I've got an auto bonnet that I'm getting a friend to make a mould of. I'll enquire how much. It's going to be two layers, inside kevlar-carbon, outside carbon, bagged.
