It Only Passed !

Recommended Posts

pugpete1108

just got back from the mot, one tyre fitted the wrong direction and the horn stopped working but he let me take it away and fix them.

also new regs about wiring come into play in march? must all be secured to avoid chafing and shorting out.

of course i took the long route home from the station and i now know why ive spent so much time and money on this car....

grin factor ahoy :D:D

it doesnt feel as quick as the gti6 engine but ive a feeling with some clever mapping it will be a hoot to drive.

Congratulations :) Took mine for an MOT a couple of weeks back & was pleasantly surprised when it passed with only a couple of minor advisories :)

Cheers fellas, tis a good feeling indeed.

I've gotta source some new trims as one of mine is buggered and I really need to spray the bumpers body coloured.

Congratations. It's always a nervous feeling isn't it knowing you may have a list of things to turn around quickly for a retest.

Mine went through with no advisories which was great... :D

But then on the final hurdle - the emmisions check and was double the limit

Will have to see about tweaking the map.

odd as my tester always does the emmisions first??

my emmisions were just below the limit, its running a bit lean too.

i was quite supprised as it was runing real lumpy in the morning, come out of the mot station and it was running lovely.

brakes were pukka too :P which they should be given its got all new pads/cables/hoses/pipes etc and hdi fronts with gti6 rears.

Perhaps there is no set routine to do those parts of the test.

He starts with the interior checks and then moves to lighting. Then underneath and emmisions. Lastly is the brake test when it's pulled off the ramp.

Either way it was bloody annoying to hear it was going to be a pass and then 'haha it was going so well, I can't pass that' as I see 7.66 CO on the screen next to 3.5 limit. FML
