Braided Fuel Lines

I'm fitting braided fuel lines to my pug, I'm wanting to know what is the best and safest way to join them to the pump and to the fuel rail. At the pump end i've seen people push them over the plastic outlets and clip them, as the standard ones are fixed. And at the fuel rail i've seen people tig nuts to the end of the pipes so they can be screwed on. I want to avoid buying many fittings because of the price.

Any advice and/or pictures of where pipes attach to fuel pumps or rails, whether on a pug or not, would be helpful

This is how I have do the fuel rail on my GTI6 engine. They are just AN-6 steel blanking plugs drilled out to fit the rail and silver soldered (Brazed) on.

id seen that picture on your build thread, how did you attach the other ends to the pump?
