Dirt In Cylinders

Recommended Posts

charlieb01

I've recently whipped the head off due to gasket failure. During removing it, a lot of dirt and dust fell into the cylinders and i'm worried that there has been some that has fallen down between the piston and the cylinder wall where the rings are. Any ways of removing it properly?

if you do what slo suggest, make sure you clamp the liners. else you'll have a whole world of pain.

didn't have anything to clamp it down with and the hoover is too weak but I found a thin straw and gave it a go. Feel a bit light headed but it did the trick :)
