15X8 Et0 Fit Under A Maxi Body Kit

Recommended Posts

parry

All,

Looking at adding a maxi kit on the race car to grab some attention from the rest of the crowd in televised events. It seems that only the fancy looking retro car get all the attention. So i am thinking of a Talbot color scheme to grab some attention.

So would a Dimma or a maxi, I prefer a maxi as i know i will get better quality panels from France, fit over my current setup with 15x8 ET0 rims.

Let me remind you folks in Australia wont know the diference of a Maxi to a Dimma.

Regards parry

A 15" wheel would look stupid with a Maxi kit fitted. I can fit 18" and 19" on mine!

what arch kit do you have fitted?, and where from?. Im in the process of fitting 16x9's and still need to source some wider arch trims.

I bought off Ebay many years ago...Dont think the guys them anymore, I bough a second set just incase I had a tangle on the track, but so far so good. These things are very strong. I have touched another car enough to spin it and they received no damage at all! The other car had a good ding in the rear quarter.

mini group 5 arches can fit with a little trimming, and cover my 13X10s on the rear

you run 8x15's on the rear with turreted suspension? What beam do you run? How much wider than standard is it? Whats the clearance like between tyre and coilover spring

kev, the clearance issue is more the trailing arm than the coilover damper, the conversions I have seen do not place the damper in the arch at all so if a wheel fits a standard car it'll fit with a coilover.

With semi flat tyres mine rubs on the arb end plate first. I'm currently on drum hubs though so I was not sure about a rear disc setup.

I am running a 15mm spacer on the rear to help clearnace to the inner guard. I also have 1.5deg camber on the rear which does not help clearance.
