Any Forum Members In Romania?

Are there any members on the board in Romania, or who can speak Romanian that could help me out?

I am trying to buy something (a piece of car stereo equipment) from a seller there, but I am not getting very far because I speak no Romanian and the seller speaks no English.

I need some help with someone being able to contact the seller and clarify how I can go about paying for it.

Thanks - in advance!

Rob

I hope this is some seriously specialist kit! If not, then there's gotta be an easier source. Apart from the international postage, Romania is not exactly renowned as being one of the safest EU countries to do business with. They're top people, and it's a great place to visit, but...

I'd second the Google Translate option, but if that's not good enough, then I might be able to put you in touch with somebody.

Apparently google translation is not good in other languages. When I used it, some else said it was easier for me to write to them in English, (their friend could speak English and translate) as the way google translates it, means its very hard to understand in other languages, due to the layout of words in sentences. Unfortunately Rob I cannot help you with the Romainian language.

It's not great, but it's better than nothing. Write simply, translate, then re-translate back to English to see just how big a mess it's made of it. 99% of the time, it'll be comprehensible.

Hi Rob,

Give me a call as I have a couple of Bulgarians, a Hungarian and a Russian that work for me amongst the others so I am sure they can help out. Also I know a few Romanian finance people too. I also have some 1FM news for you I gleaned in the pub the other night!

Mail what you want translating to henry.yorke@hp.com

Cheers,

Henry
