Just thought id share a pic of my pug on her first day out the garage for 2013. Will have owned the car for 10yrs in mid May, had no real issues with car or engine in all that time other than a rear beam rebuild.

Car gets so much attention these days, has bn the starting point for so many random strangers to approach & inform me they "had one of those when they was a youth"

We all know why so many remember them so fondly tho...I've never not owned a 205gti since the day I past my test so many years ago and their still truly a joy to drive..get goose bumps every time I get in one! Bring on the nxt 10yrs!

Cheers mate, link works properly now so you can check her out close up! Belts been done 3 times. Car was daily driver once upon a time, but now spends most of the time getting polished to death in her heated garage...probably averages 1500 miles a year...never goes out in wet weather now a days!

Yep! Car did have a few dizzy problems when I first got it, though turned out was prob with dizzy adapter as car runs an mi with 45's on standard ignition. Someone on here, cant remember who, solved the mystery! Adapter was slightly short so end of dizzy spindle was rubbing...spaced out with couple of washers, chucked new dizzy on and all was good.

What is more fun , the Mi16 or the V6 Golf? :)

The mi! Actually got rid of the v6 now...great car, super smooth, never had prob with it. Now got impreza, 300+, still don't give me the buzz the mi does! Shame to say I don't really drive the pug like I use to. Keeping the car in the condition its in has become an obsession! Still take mi down a few fav lanes occasionally though.

These are goin on soon...

Anyone with any ideas what colour? Fully polished, leave them silver, or polished dish, black spokes?

They remind me of the rims of Ferrari from the late 80's early 90's forgot the model..

I'd stick with the original 15 :(

Their Fondmetal 4000's. Was on plenty a 205's back in the 90's. 15in, though slightly wider than speedlines. Pretty rare wheel these days, has taken me literally years to find a set in this condition with centre caps! I know the original speedlines suit 205's best, just fancy a change and needed some rims while ones on car go to be refurbed. Their pretty immaculate considering bn done nearly 10yrs, but two have slight bubbling round valve holes!

That's how they looked powdercoated in silver when I ran those wheels.
