Trumpets Hitting On Auxiliary Venturi On 45 Dellortos

I finally found some trumpets that have the right diameter for my Dellorto carbs, they are the push in type but they won’t go all the way in as they hit against the Auxiliary venturi.

 

 

 

Question, do people add a slot into the trumpet at the end that it inserts into the carb to go around the venturi web, or do I have the completely wrong trumpets?
