When u brought my 406 turbo engine out of a 206 the pipe that comes out above the thermostat (has a bleed valve attached) was blocked off do I need the reconnect this to the expansion tank?

its not used in a 406 for anything other than bleeding.

If you lead it back to the expansion tank it will auto-bleed itself...
