Question Of The Crank

Recommended Posts

eTiKeT
Hi,

Have one xu5ja 115 Hp Engine, I want to make the engine 1.9 but do not crank gasoline turkey XU9,

There are lots of crank 406 2.0 hdi DW10 88mm Stroke

is applied directly to the crank?

145mm piston rods, I believe DW10

Which of gasoline or diesel piston rods must be XU9? 143mm

Note: 1.9 After, I think to use the xu10j2te manifold and turbo to 0.5 bar

Thanks

XU5 con rod big end size is 5mm smaller than XU9 and XU10 cranks.

So you cannot use your XU5 con rods with the other crank shafts.

you can use the XUD9 crankshaft as well, though there are minor differences they are the same part number as the DW10 crankshaft.

As Tom said they have larger 50mm big ends so you need to use XU9J conrods and pistons, xu9 are 143mm long but have smaller gudgeon pins than a diesel engine, you would not want to use DW rods or XUD as they are very heavy!
