Original Gti Options When New

My 1989 1.9 has central locking but is only operational from the drivers side. If I unlock from the pass side, only that door unlocks - not the boot and the other like when I do it from the drivers side. I thought there was a fault somewhere - not realising that it was supposed to be like that

Haha mine is the same , it's on a key fob and the passenger side doesn't lock , you have to push it down then lock drivers door and boot using fob haha

Not on UK spec ones. Nor was it on a UK CTI

Was a nice steady idle speed one of the least selected options, like indicators being an option on a BMW?
