Tu1 Distributor - Whocellier?

PSA parts sourcing strikes again.

 

All the suppliers list several different dist caps & rotors. I go and look. My old cap says "Ducellier" on it in large letters. So I order this...

 

I've just tried to change it. It's nothing like.

 

Great.

 

The old cap's smaller diameter, with the fixing screws inside the main diameter, whilst the new one's are outside. And, to top it all, the old one is royally rogered. Thoroughly time-expired. There's not much left of the old contacts. The centre contact fell out, and had to be chased down the pavement. The rotor's not much better. But it still starts and runs, miraculously...

 

So which dist have I actually got? <shrug>

 

And, of course, my local ECP isn't open on a Sunday...

And, of course, my local ECP isn't open on a Sunday...

But a nearish "proper" car spares shop is. And promised he'd got them in stock, too. Intermotor boxes (with an inch of dust) but the cap's got the Ducellier logo nice and large. And fits... So Mister Auto are lying about their one.

 

Shame matey gave me the wrong rotor off the shelf, though.
