Sanding Before Clear Coat / Laquer ? Helmet With Design.

Recommended Posts

kyepan

Been respraying my kart helmet with acylics.. need to know.. do i need to knock down the edges between the pinstripe lines with wet and dry, or key up the surface for the laquer, or should i just un mask the design and get on with clear coating it?

I realise there is divided opinion on this, but i'm specifically thinking about the raised edges where i've laid the black detail on top.

cheers

J

did a couple more coats, some fairly big runs, so waiting for it to cure before flattening them back, and cutting / polishing it.
