Complete New Plastic Trim And Red Insert. Done!

Recommended Posts

scottbarton

Finally got round to replacing all plastic bodywork sections and complete new red inserts today. Looks so clean! Decided not to replace the front and rear bumpers as they were in good enough condition, especially after the recent Plasticare.

I had two trim fixing kits, was a little concerned with the amount of clips I had left over though? I used the black grommets pushed into the wings, a mixture of barbed black plugs and the white plastic pins with metal retaining washer....all with the rubber washers and still had a good handful left over?

Will post up some pics tomorrow after I take her for the MOT....hopefully will pass!

Happy to report the old girl sailed through her MOT with no advisories. Happy days!

Sun was shining this morning so took a couple of pics on the iPad.

The plastic trim and red inserts (all new in bags) and two boxes of fixings were all part of a job lot I bought from a member on here last year. I have now replaced every single bit of trim on the car with new (sunroof trim, door seals, window seals, rear panel, badges, spoiler) with exception to the bumpers as they are in very good condition already. Cant see the point of changing them just for the sake of it. I will now sell on the two bumpers that are in the loft.

Need to have another sort out now and sell more bits!

Is the rear bumper you want to sell one a hard genuine one or a 3rd party plastic one?

Yes they are both genuine front and rear, still in original Pug wrapping. I will post up in the For Sale section when I am ready to sell to keep to forum rules, i have had two PM's about them already so its only fair.
