Hi,

As mentioned previously, ive recently bought a ph2.5 1.9, it was bought as a non runner and over this weekend ive fitted a low km engine, the engine is fitted fully and is running but the car being Aussie spec has aircon and also has power steering.

My questions are;

In the passenger wheel arch there is a canister type thing that I've not seen before when I owned uk cars, it has a pipe going from it about 500mm long with a loose jubilee clip that suggests it previously attached to something, but what?

There is also an electrical connector about midway along the pipe that looks like it connects to a spare plug on the loom near the shunt box, if I go by this connection the pipe seems to want to connect under the throttle body, but I've never seen this setup before??

Also, I have two rad fans hence two grey plugs, where the f@ck do they plug into, I know it should be somewhere near the pass headlight but for the life of me can't see where they go????

Even the missus has been looking for the Poxy things, please help me.

Lee

The canister is a charcoal canister fitted for emissions reasons. It feeds fuel vapour from the tank into the inlet to burn it off. UK cars just have an open breather on the tank instead.

There should be a black box behind the passenger headlamp. The plugs for the fans should come out of the bottom of it.

charcoal canister, so the valve inline is just a solenoid valve operated by the ecu under certain conditions.

a for grey plugs what are they like? stick a pic up!

Ok, so the charcoal canister pipe should feed the inlet? Could this also be a connection on the throttle body as there is a spare outlet that will

Fit?

The fan plugs are the kind of flat two pin type, I'll try and get a pic up, but it's dark here now, I've seem them on my previous cars and they just

Plug in near the inner wing iirc.
