alanmk5 0 1 Cars Posted March 30, 2013 hi there the seatbelt on my 1.6 is knackered and needs replaced, bought a second hand one off ebay, only problem is i don't know how to fit it anyone got any ideas or intstructions thanx
chipstick 382 1 Cars Posted March 30, 2013 Pop the cap cover off the B pillar at the top with a screwdriver and expose the bolt head and undo. It's a 19mm if I remember correctly. The belt will loop at the bottom by your seat. Again pop the cap off and remove the bolt. The bar hooks into the floor, give it a wiggle and a gentle twist. You'll get a feel for it when you get there. You'll need to pop the rear quarter panel card off to expose the actual reel. Remove that bolt and then thread the belt and buckles through the card. When you get to the buckles you'll notice they are wider than the slot. Pop the rectangle slotted trim off with a screwdriver and youll then fit them through. Refitting is the reverse of removal. Hope that helps. You shouldn't have any issues, but if you ate unsure with anything grab a photo and we will do our best to help.
ORB 227 1 Cars Posted March 30, 2013 As above! However I'm sure it's a 17mm Also, it's worth noting that it'll only let you pull webbing from the reel at certain angles. This can become annoying!
