White Pugs 6 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Hello All, Just thought i'd post a pic of my refurbed Superleggeras and my home made rattle can'd PTS centre caps... Colour is Pearl Grey and they were done by CAS Coatings in Bradford at a quid an inch - Bargain. Cheers James Edited March 27, 2013 by White Pugs
pug_ham 243 3 Cars Posted March 27, 2013 I've had several sets of wheels (& bike frames) done at CAS, usually a great job for a bargain price & a quick turn round. Looking good James, see them on the car at Harewood hopefully in a couple of weeks time. g
AlexRS2782 136 1 Cars Posted March 27, 2013 Looks nice Reminds me that i must get my backside in gear and get the Speedline Corse wheels, i've had in the garage for months now, stripped back ready for a refurb.
Anthony 1,002 Posted March 27, 2013 That's a bargain compared to what most places change these days, especially if the quality is as good as they look in the photo!
chipstick 382 1 Cars Posted March 27, 2013 That's very good value. Even more so considering that's inside and out. Was it a blast and powdercoating service? Do they fill any defects at all or is it only really for good condition wheels? A firm local to me are very good at what they do coating wise - but will only coat over a wheel after blasting with no actual refurbishment service offered which is a shame. pug_ham 243 3 Cars Posted March 27, 2013 That's a bargain compared to what most places change these days, especially if the quality is as good as they look in the photo! It really is, shot blasted & powder coated for £15 on a 15"rim. They can spray a thick coat on some colours, on my bike frame I had to sand the paint on the headtube to get the gyro to fit over it last time but when I got it repsrayed late last year it fitted straight on with no problem. Only £20 as well. g
chipstick 382 1 Cars Posted March 27, 2013 I paid £40 for a GTi6 inlet and the same not long after for a Caterham rear beam. Some places just appear to pull a price out of the air for random item opposed to working to a formula of area.

welshpug 1,646 Posted March 28, 2013 I can get wheels done at £25 for a 15", same story just a blast and coat, they will file any sharp edges down if you want.
allye 530 3 Cars Posted March 28, 2013 They look amazing already! For a full crack check and special refurb for the mag wheels it's £70, each. Ouch. Will be worth it though!
