Odd Xu7 Sump?

Recommended Posts

pugpete1108

Picked my new bottom end up yesterday looks all good apart from this odd sump? It's a tin one with no baffle in it.

The car was a lhd and was from Switzerland apparently so maybe that was why.

no, only later XU10 have baffles.

Alloy sump'd (ie AC) XU7JP4 are baffled too - they have fundementally the same sump as earlier alloy sumped XU10's (XU10J2, XU10J4) but without the oil temp sensor hole being drilled and tapped (the casting is there for it). They don't have the large cast "wings" that the later XU10 sumps have (XU10J4R, XU10J4RS).
