Now that renault 5 really is the worst example of a modified car i have ever seen,i would love to see his reaction when the car was finally finished,something along the lines of "WOW,that is exactly what i had in my mind,i really cant wait to drive around and show this off to my friends at Macdonalds,they will be sooooooooooo jealous"

Why are the French so bad at modifying cars? Every time I drive over there I see a horrendous amount of stuff like that on the roads.

 

Am I right in saying that in France they can legally modify the bodywork, but no performance mods allowed?

I believe that's the case, but it still isn't a logical reason why they go so OTT with bad modifications.

 

To flip it around, if they outlawed body mods in the UK but it was fine to modify the engine, it would be like one of us having a mint OE 205 GTI and sticking a 3 legged badger in place of the engine
