There's a guy on here with a twin V6 205, which IIRC uses a partial or full space frame. Can't recall his username, but there's vids of it on youtube.

I don't think it was very special in chassis design. Certainly not lightweight like Cameron's space frame build but he did build a full custom rear clamshell which was very cool. I remember the rear subframe looked like it was almost scraping the ground

I'd call PRDs a rear engine rather than mid

why do you say that? its transversely mounted with the engine in front of the axle line the same as an elise, boxter etc which is considered mid engined, not rear mounted behind a transaxle like a beetle.

I've done it I used music as my inspiration..

Fleetwoodmac - dreams

Supertramp - dreamer

Gabrielle - dreams

Aerosmith - dream on

Suzanne boyle - I dreamed a dream

All really helped

Ok if we're being pedantic we'll call it mid/rear engined like an rx8 is front/mid engined. If you want to get even more pedantic PRDs car is twin engined anyway. You know what I was getting at, it's the front of a car welded into the back of a car so IMO fairly wank.

A cd or Mp3 of a v6 engine being reved will be much easier and cheaper if you purley want it for the noise. Drop Tesstuff a pm and he will record his on full chat :)

If it's all about V6 noise, stick an Alfa V6 in there. The older 2.5 and 3.0 12v engines have a bit more of a character to their sound than the more recent 3.2 24v engines.

For a v6 id probably go with a honda ba167e if I could get hold of one. It's an 80s engine so would suit the car well.

Failing that probably a twin turbo'd one of these, not a v6 but a bit more modern, you can probably get a few more miles out of this one between rebuilds too.

Possibly only topped by a Stratos engine (Ferrari / Fiat / Lancia Dino 2.4 V6).

I remember talking to a PSC member about 12 years ago on the options of putting the 3.0 12/24v engine from an Alfa 164 into a 405, considering they were both designed by Pininfarina at similar times, it may be an option (though engine mounts would most likely be different)

Engine sounds don't get any more brutal than the BRM V16. It was designed and built in the 40s so given that it's 70 year old technology you could probably knock one up yourself at home fairly easily too, and it's only a 1500 so should easily fit in the front/back/middle/left of a 205.

Yeah I've yet to find a genuine video/sound recording of the BRM 3.0 H16 engine running. It's always just mis-labelled recordings of the V16.
