O.e Wishbone Bushes Gone Bad?

I remember reading on here a few times that the o.e wishbone bushes have gone s*it, is this just a rumour or is there some truth in it?

I'm currently making up some rose jointed arms for my road rally car and obviously want to fit new bushes, if the oe ones have gone s*it which poly bushes do folk recomend?

I bought a set recently and they APPEAR to be identical to the set I have had in the garage for years.

I think I read a post from Miles saying they had turned to rubbish but can't remember when that was.

 

I think Stew does some uprated versions which might be a safer bet if you're dubious on the quality of the oe spec pug ones over any polybushes that are around imo.

I've just fitted brand new motor factor wishbones to my 205, it hasn't been driven yet would it be worth replacing these said bushes now or will they be much difference until they perish?
