I was thinking about getting a replacement fusebox and I was wondering if they are all the same?

No they're not despite what Servicebox implies!

 

You'll need to source one from an injection model if you're planning to use it on a GTi, as the non-injection and diesel models typically don't have the pins present for where the fuel pump connects. There may be other differences as well, but that's the key one that I spotted.

 

I know that Haynes lists various different fuse configurations for pre-1991 fuseboxes, but unsure if this is a difference on the fusebox or merely wiring.

Yeah sorry I had read that there was two differences; carb and injection, but I was thinking like you that the fuses were different and therefore the fuse boxes would be different.

 

I think I'll investigate by opening one up.
