Door Shut Wiring

Recommended Posts

TaffyTim

Ive be redoing my stereo and today i decided to run new speaker wiring as mine seemed dodgy.

In the door shuts on my drivers side the I had to cut the wires to undo the wiring pass through , I dont have electric windows or central locking and the speaker wire itself was snapped so i couldn't see any problems in cutting the other wires.

I was hoping that the route was a straight pass through but its a pin connector type, am i right in thinking that the early ones didn't have pins?

I've made a tempory gasket and protected the speaker wires but is there a better solution that people use? Can you get pas throughs that will cover the holes to the door and the a pillar and give better protection to the wire?

You could just get some rubber door gromits from an earlier car, as these were seperate, and run the wires through that, least that way it will be sealed
