205 Gti Front Brake Calipers

Hi can anyone tell me are all 205gti front brake calipers the same size. I need to replace the calipers on my turbo diesel and have a spare set but don't know if there 1.6 or 1.9 my concerns are if there 1.9s will they fit as the wheels are 14 inch not 15s any info would be helpfully thanks

They are designed for a 247mm disk but vented, I'm assuming your DT has solid disks? If you have 1.6 bendix calipers you should be able to swap the pad carrier over as they are the same design and retain your standard disks. Or if you want some better braking then just fit 1.9 front disks and either 1600/1900 calipers.

 

Edit: i know 1.9 calipers fit under 1600 speedline wheels but unsure on steels.
