1.9 Alloys On A 1.6

Recommended Posts

Krish

As the title of the thread, is it a simple swap to change the alloys or is there more involved?

And am i right that the 1.6 bolts can be used?

(i searched 1.9 alloys on a 1.6 and didn't find anything useful so sorry if i have missed the answer, also not sure if this is in the right section )

Yes, it's a straight swap.

You can use the 1.6 bolts fine, although the heads will stick out proud of the 1.9 wheels - 1.9 bolts with the shorter head solve that.

i would say the best locking nuts is one that is still being made so if you loose the key or it brakes you can still get a spare.
