Gti6 isn't a option it will be staying with a tu engine either the original tu2j2 or a 1.6 s2 rallye engine. That desision is a personal one as i want to keep it nearer to original and as i have a s2 to hand what's a straight swap with more power Thats the engine ill be putting in. The bike carbs is down to wanting to keep it on carbs and not liking the solexes fitted standard so was a choice between bike carbs or webers .

if you can get them to work on some sort of manifold thats not silicone hose you could make them work. Might end up being as much as a decent setup though

Gonna keep my eye on this thread, unless anyone can point me in the direction of a manifold to fit real carbs to a 1.6gti engine, yes ive used the search and I can't find anything about it!
