1989 205Gti - Phillips Or Clarion Stereo

Hello

I am looking for an original stereo for my 1.9 registered end of April 1989. I am aware from another posting that 1989 was the year where they went from Phillips to Clarion PU-9469A....

But does anyone know what month in 1989 the change took place? Also if anyone has the right one for sale I would be interested

Lift reverse (BE1) had Phillip's and BE3's had Clarion is the easy way, but you can get the odd exception to this rule as the dealers fitted them

I have a Clarion one that I removed last week. Has the original card with serial num, security code etc. Unfortunately the main on/off/volume button is a but wobbly. PM if your interested.

Quick question, when did BE1 gearboxes stop being fitted?

 

I thought mine was a BE3 but it's a lift reverse jobbie....annoying as I have already bought a BE3 clutch cable!!!
