Gps Speed Camera Apps

Hi all just seeing if anybody uses any apps on there android/i phone for detecting speed cameras. Ive currently got a galaxy s2 and having a look round the google play store there seem to be a few apps out there but mostly american ones. Has anybody found a good working uk app thats payed or free?

I use Copilot for android it has speed cams updates are free works well also does those tax cams too that face you

Its alright saying use your eyes but theres a camera on the east lancs near me that if you didnt know it was the you would never see it (behind the trees and road sign). And i dont speed with my children in the car most of the time its just nice to have a pre warning as you always get the idiots who slam on and its nice just to have a bit of extra warning.

Don't waste your breathe Luke (or should that be fingers?). You can guarantee any time this sort of question is asked on ANY forum you will get the odd few who will respond with those sorts of answers. I'm sure someone will respond with a more useful reply eventually.

I have broken the limit down near where you live by an unmarked volo in my wrx. I am not proud of it i was doing close to a ton at a very busy time and as was pointed out to me it was stupid and dangerous.

The guys that caught me were good to me in the fact that they let me off with a £60 fine and 3 points as we all knew it was over a ton and not the 98 they marked down. That was my own stupid fault and i put my hands up to it. My main point though is that was a motor way not a smaller speed limit where if you get caught on camera ie 30mph you bloody well deserve it!

Oh and if theres always one so what!

Think everyone is getting the wrong idea with this topic I do not want to use the knowledge of these camera sites to speed just for awareness. I bet plenty have sat navs with camera alerts on so whats the difference.

I cannot see what all this fuss is about, the OP got confussed he clearly means road safety cameras. He has no intention of using such apps to break speed limits then slow down of that I am sure. He mearly wants to plot routes that have least danger, and if he must travel past such cameras to be aware he is in a potentially unsafe area and to make sure the spare has air, got a snow shovel, flask of coffee, and to lock his doors! What is wrong with that?
