Cannot Open Boot

hi gang ,come to get into the boot but no joy can open drivers door and passengers doors, but no joy with the old boot? any answers

could it be the central locking ? if so how to rectify the prob

the problem i have is that when i bought the car i got two keys both will not open the boot but the central locking always opened and locked it ?

Iirc you can access the boot lock from the inside to open it then investigate further.

 

The boot panel is only clipped on and can be removed with the boot shut?

cheers for that !! i'm on for that now, but after further investigation i cannot hear the remote lock working, i.e making any noises, once I've got the boot open where is the remote motor?

It will be attached to the lock by a rod.

It's located next to the lock mech

i have a manual for the car,but like most things, it goes missing when you want it!!!

The drivers side one controls the boot and the passenger one too. I had a problem similar to this and i had to change the main actuator in the drivers door to sort it.

Take it out and have a look, could be something as simple as dirty connections.

thanks guys took the drivers side lock and central locking out and gave it a good clean and oiling ,works fine now
