Gti / Standard Shafts

hi there hope some one can tell me if the hub end of gti d/shafts are the same as standard shafts. ie : will a gti shaft physicaly fit into a 1100/ 1400 hub ?

1.6 GTI shafts will fit. 1.9 won't.
