FFS That's bollocks, if they've been stored out of the cold/UV rays & elements and aren't perished they'll be fine after taking a top layer off them.

Whilst that can be true, many insurance companies will reserve the right not to pay out on a policy if the tyres are older than 5 years...check the small print.

Excessively soft sidewalls and prohibitive price compared to its competitors, have you tried them? I haven't personally but the Rally car I service for has, and we don't now..

i have been running them on my 205 for over a year now. i think the side walls are stiff compared to the prarada crap that i took off. have done about 3 or 4 trackdays with them and i think they are great, almost as good as my old 888's but a lot cheaper. £300 for 4 fitted. what would you say are its competitors? the only one i can think of are the federal rsr which are about the same price.

To be fair, that's at least partly because Paradas have all the sidewall rigidity of a latex glove - last trackday I did on a set I was very close to grounding out the rim of the alloy there was so much sidewall flex, the sidewall writing all but entirely scrubbed off :lol:
