Yes the GTi's use the widest drum, Base models are thinner

The rear wheel cylinder is also different, base models have a built in compensator & larger thread union into the cylinder.

thanks folks iv got issues of tyres tearin out the edge of my quarter panel on my 1100 shell .im running 15 inch speedlines but i think its down to the offset on the hub .

probably because there gti hubs then. i want to increase the width of the rear track and tuck the wheel in with a bit of camber is there any easy way of doing this ?

Easy... No. Possible... Yes.

I forget the manufacturer, but you can buy a 'wedge' that alters the toe in and camber of the hub on the trailing arm.
