how do i remove the small rubber seal that goes around the rear window...as i am sure that under the seal is rusted.and water is getting into my tailgate...i know the window is bonded..but is the seal removable cheers dan

Yes has it own part number on the parts CD.

 

8745 37 is your number.

Yes its removable, never done it myself though. As far as am aware I may be wrong the strip is more decorative.

It can be removed by hand, not sealed.

For the sake of 25 quid buy a new one especially if you have went to the hassle of removing the window. That's what I would do but each to there own though.

As was said before it was decorative only. I have never removed it but am sure it should just pull off. With it being 20 year old rubber ,like most if the rubbers it will proberly split.

yer just lifted the corner and it pulled away..did not split and looks in good nick...there was a load off rust under the seal.rust treatment and repaint..i will let you know how i get on putting it back.....

ok seal needed a good clean....but with some soapy water it just popped back in ,good as new...job done....
