205 Gti With Electric Sunroof?

As mentioned, was this an optional extra or is it a cheap, nasty d.i.y?!

My 1.9 has 1 and im worried....

The switch and surround around it look original, however the surround around the glass, or lack of it in my case, looks very tatty (hence my thoughts along the d.i.y. route!). Oh, and it doesnt work!

Any info would be a great help and just to make it easyier to know what i mean, i'll get some pics up of it to see what I'm on about!

I had an electric roof on my old J reg 106 XSI. I bought it from a Peugeot parts man who worked at Manchester. I think it was a dealer fit Brtitax? Looked really good and had a single rocker switch in the roof above the mirror to operate. Fitted outside like a vacuum roof.

Aftermarket fitment, if it goes wrong you are well and truly up the creak I'm afraid, Britax do not keep parts for these

Is it worth just launching it and plating the hole, put it back to a non-sunroof then??

It is a late one so wasnt sure if it was extra...
