309 To 205

Hi!

 

I have lying in my garage an '89 309 1.3 (Simca engine). The car is very nice to drive and the short gearing and punchy engine is kinda fun!

I was considering buying a cheap 205 3 door and transferring the suspension and drivetrain from the 309 in it.

 

Is this possible?

why? just keep the 309.

309 is a 5 door, and the 205 is lighter and looks cooler!

If the 205 is a Gti version then there would be no point.

 

Rather than breaking a 309, it would be better just to buy the parts from breakers/ebay etc..

 

You could probly sell the 309 and get the parts sent to you at the price of a 309....
