How To Drain Petrol Out Of A 206 1.4 Petrol

Recommended Posts

jeremy

As title really. I have disconnected the fuel line to the injector rail, however I guess there needs to be a permenant live feed to the pump (assuming this is located in the tank) under the rear seat. There is a multi plug I assume I just need to connect up one of the wires to a live feed, which one?

Thanks Jeremy

easiest way, find the inertia switch and stick a live to it :)

I just gave the pump live and put the end of the hose in a jerry can. Easy

That's a 205 tho but I'm sure it's not much different

According to Haynes, 3 is live (1421 - white) and 4 is earth.

Thanks for the replies. I suddenly had a flashback to when I did it on my daughters KA. Basically I tested the wires going into the multiplug (located under rear seat) for live when car running, which turned out to be a red wire next to what I assume was the earth. Stripped the cable insulation just enough and fed a live direct from the battery with the fuel pipe disconnected from the fuel rail. Hey presto twenty minutes later one empty tank.

Snap.

I used this method on both a 205 GTI & a 406 hdi & ran a separate live to the fuel pump plug so it ran constantly until the tank was empty.
