Which tyre size should I fit to a standard 205D with 14" speedlines that won't rub ?

I run 185 65 14 but would advise 185 60 14 if its low as mine is. Mine does not rub but its

Close tucks in the archs nicely. I can get a pisture later on if you want.

just went outside and got this. i told you a lie they are 185 60 14 so i would advise 185 55 14. as you can see the arch is close. 1 because its lowerd and two because i have loads of tools in the back today that make it look even more lowerd. these dont rub at all even at this profile im currently running with the profile i have on. this is a base model style shell 1.1 which is the same as the 1.8d style as thats what my other half has. hope this helps.

 

ps there is loads of clearence on the front no issues there at all

I believe standard size for many base models was 165 70 13, which is closer to 185 55 14 as used by saxo/106 sport models, rather than the 185 60 14 used by the 205 gti.

I run 185 55 14 on my GRD, these don't rub at all now. The old nankangs I had at 60/65 14 rubbed like crazy.

Couldn't have a passenger in the back let alone an engine and gearbox ;)
