Newbie From Hereford

Hi everyone, as you can see i am new on here so want to get off on the right foot,

 

As a starter i was going to start a topic in the restoration overhauls and upgrades section of the 205GTI i just picked up.

 

I read the rules and regs when i joined but cant see anything relating to not being able to start topics in this section? (unless i missed it)

 

Can someone give a bit of friendly advice as where to start off

I think the 'project and works starters' section is the one you'll want to start it off in, then the mods will move it into the other section as and when required (thats my understanding of it anyway!)

 

Welcome to the forum! My parents live in preston wynne near hereford, and I grew up near malvern. Theres some awesome roads around there, not to mention plenty of nice cider

Yea wanted to start a build/restore thread as an ice breaker.

It not the first 205 GTI i have had, more like no 5 or is it 6

Nice to hear off a local, maybe we will catch up some time on here or on the road

I actualy bough the car from a lad in Preston Wynne, just up from the village hall, Small world aint it!

Yea there are some fantastic roads and nice countryside to drive around here, and plenty of scrumpy if you like it

Will try a topic in the above mentioned and see how it goes.

How do you know of the car then, can you shed any more history on it, the lad i bought it off (cant remember his name now??) didnt have much to say about it other than he bought it, used it for a bit then parked it up in his parents back garden.

Hereford is a small place! Im out of town not in town. The lad you bought it off is bryan andrews, that car was bought by him, sold to a friend of mine then he bought it back and the last i heard was going to use it for road rallies, but then decided he couldnt afford to so left it for 12 months.

Yep that sounds about right lol

 

Couldnt remember the lads name i bought it off he did say it was bought to rally but never bothered. Hes also got a tidy Mk2 escort with a red top engine sat in the garage.

 

Your mate have any history still, is the 86k miles genuine as i was told. Last MOT's were at local garages with similar milliages.
