Transporting A 10 Point Roll Cage In A 205

Recommended Posts

Strictly_Derv

I'm hoping to get a 10 point cage for my 205 but will be collecting it in Ginge191's NAD. Just worried about transporting it as it will be a 205 mile return journey. Obviously yes it fits in as it's designed for a 205 but this car has a full interior and maybe a rear passenger (she may have to be left in wales though) is it a safe idea to do this or would it be too dangerous/ not ideal? I dont want to have a wasted 400 miles trip.

Thoughts would be very welcome!

Really can't see how you're going to do it with a rear seat passenger.

Easy enough with the rear stripped out and the cage stripped down though.

I've never tried it, but assume it should be possible with the rear seats in place but folded down.

What cage is it, there are differences...

They do generally fit, but there may have to be strategic placement etc if you're going to have a rear passenger, it might work but a lot simpler without!

Omp 10 point cage fitted in my GRD, stops basically had to "fit" it to make it fit

The looks we got were hilarious.

Definitely a no no with a rear passenger!

The rear passenger was just a maybe as she wanted to come but I really doubt it would be possible. It's a 10 point OMP cage.

So generally speaking, it should be possable?

Thanks for the help.

Possible, but she might end up being uncomfortable/with bits of cage across her/have to be a contortionist... :P

If it doesn't work, you'll be f*cked, so i'd just send her out to do the shopping. ;)

Turn it upside down and strap it to the roof ;)

You're welcome :D

I think after doing some inquiries it's about the same cost to get a courier so I think that would make life a lot easier than driving all that way. Cheers for the help though.

GLPoomobile, great advice there!
