If Parts Weren't Nfp...

*Puts theoretical hat on* It would be possible for PSA to create a 205 based on a more modern architecture ie Platform 1 ( 207, 208, c2, ds3 etc.) Ok the floor pan, suspension and motor would be different, however externally it could be made to look exactly like a 205. It would nevvvvvverrrrr evvvvvvveeerrrr happen but technically could be done.

More realistically (lol, more realistic than the above. Still very unrealistic given the $$$ involved.) you could have a 205 reverse engineered most likely in china. The demand for whole new 205's probably isnt there (and lets face it no one would want a chinese built copy), but you could start making all new parts, well atleast the parts that are no longer available.

But back to the original topic. I would buy new dash plastics. The Australian sun has turned most 205 dashes into brittle and cracked artifacts. 2 years ago I imported a full set of black dash plastics to replace mine which were broken in several spots.

Even in a theoretical world this could not happen due to how car have to be friendly to pedestrians these days.

I would buy all the gear knobs and mud flaps every where, hoard them for years then sell them on ebay to make a fortune!

Halfords sell a metalic paint to repair the breaks in the heating strips.

I did look at something like this, but thought I would need an extremely steady hand. And to be honest, it's pretty hard to see where the breaks are as 23 years of window glass polishing has had it's toll, and pretty much all of the lines are worn.

When I press the demister button, I get a few splodges, but no continual lines. Have checked voltage to the track and all seems well....

I tried that. Auto windscreens and auto glass. Both said no chance.

They could get a clear...but not bronzed.

I used it on my Gti and it worked a treat. That had areas where the heater lines were thinned out from a sticker I removed but it still worked after I fixed the breaks in the line.

They were hard to spot as it's looking for a scratch on a line 0.5mm thick. It takes a little patience but I managed without a magnifying glass.

The paint comes with a paper template, which is useless. I ended up using a paperclip to blob paint over the scratched area then scratch away the excess on the glass when it dryed to make a neat line using the same paperclip.

Some sources say that if you will get a large order for some NFP part , they can be produced again by one of the Peugeot factories.
