Changing The Radiator - What's The Best Way?

Recommended Posts

madmover

Currently about to change the rad in a newly acquired 205. I'm no stranger to doing radiators after getting through 2 in my TT thanks to a pheasant and a brick but upon looking at it there's not alot of room. Is it best to drop it from underneath or take stuff away from on top?

Thanks in Advance

Easy on an 8v.

Remove the slam panel and AFM.

Disconnect radiator thermswitch plug

Drain radiator (drain plug if there is one)

Disconnect the three radiator hoses from the radiator (top, lower, and bleed)

Unclip radiator from the cowling

Lift and remove radiator.

Refitting is the reverse of removal, making sure to swap the thermoswitch over into the new radiator.

(what on earth is going on with what I'm assuming to be a catch tank btw?)
