Front Suspension For Heavy Wheels On 309

Recommended Posts

Hello Friends!

This is my Peugeot 309 1.9D '88.

I plan to install the front subframe from 205 GTI and new motor XU9J4

I'v installed the huge wheels and front brakes. This is 16' Ouragan + 195/50/16 tires. And front calipers, discs from 206 GTI180.

This weight has affected the suspension.

I'v bought a front shock absorbers Monroe Originals for 309 GTI16. Which springs should I choose to lower the front and and curb the unsprung masses?

the springs you choose will not have much effect at all on the horrible unsprung mass I'm afraid

sticking to the standard gti16 wheel and brake arrangement is more than sufficient and likely to be several kilos lighter.
