Dizzy Cap Ht Connections

Recommended Posts

hi guys, just a quick one today!

can anybody confirm the layout of the dizzy cap/ht lead connectors for me this is what i figured:

and would i be correct in thinking that cylinders 2 and 3 fire at the same time and could therefore be round the other way??

many thanks for the continued support! B.

It's all about setting to TDC and getting the firing order correct. Haynes explains well...

Hi dave ive got a 205 haynes manual but its not in there. I think they assume that if you take it apart you know how it will go back together! i just have a box of bits, cheers.b

I have set the tdc /static timing but need to know what order to put the leads, it doesnt show any pics. unless its in the specifications?!

It's been a while, but, locate tdc for pot one, set dizzy so arm is near an output on cap, plug lead to that and connect to pot one's plug, then work out the next one from firing order and attach as per dizzy arm spins...

Here's one I prepared earlier...

Strictly speaking, the cylinder numbers are back to front by PSA convention, but are the "logical" way around.
