Changing Wiring Looms (Possibly) Need Advice On The Brown Multi Plugs

Recommended Posts

Ok where to start, some time a go I dropped the 1600 gti lump in my 309, the 309 was originally a 1300 ohv engine so much wiring buggery insued.

Right now here's where the questions start the loom that came on the engine had the two brown plugs that i'm guessing is ph2 loom. On this loom there is a blue 2 pin plug (with one wire in) and a 2 pin black plug. these have a thick blue wire going to the blue plug, though both the blue and the black plugs dont look like they have been plugged in ever as they are full of s*it.

When putting it together I couldn't use it as at the time because I couldn't find a 309 interior loom that would match the ph2 engine loom, so had to buy a whole loom and splice a combination of 205 gti engine loom with 309 interior and lights so under the dash and the bonnet is a mixture and a bloody mess plus now its developed a broken wire in the loom somewhere.

Now the ph2 loom is in the consevatory ready to go on th 1.9 engine i've had, from what I can tell the 2 brown plugs inside the car are 1 to the fuseboard and 1 to the clocks, but i've never seen the actual dash side of things so don't know the wires for the tacho or anything, powers, earths basically all of it. pics would help massively and someone that can explain it also there is a brown plug with 7 pins which i guess goes in the enginebay from how oilly it is

To put it simply I need a picture of the two brown plugs with the wire numbers and where they go to i.e, to the guages and fuse board, wha would be nice is the powers and earths marked up

It makes references a lot quicker than the Haynes but what I need is the wiring from the dash side of things, so for example the 9 pin plug which plug do the wires go to on the back of the clocks?

It's a pain I Know but if someone had there dash out and could help I
