Picking A Good 205. Need Your Advices, Guys.

Hello everybody.

First of all sorry for my bad english, and some mistakes)

Lets go to the questions part.

I am living in Ukraine, and thinking about getting one of the 205s.

I like this car and was impressed when i saw an old tv programm bout Group B rally (there was some crazy cars, like Delta, 205 and other), so i remembered the name of the model and sometimes watched what is selling.

Then i bought an olds USSR car made in 1974, had fun with it, but sometimes i thought about some tuning, like a lightweight car, with good engine.

I took all expirience of from my old soviet car, repairing and some primary techinacl skills, and started thinking about selling it and picking one of hot birds like a 205, but to be honest first i looked for a many cars like old Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, Alfas and thousends of another cool cars.

But really for me, i understand that some of them impossible to buy here, some of them very olds, some of them not so quick and cool.

And i choosed a Peugeot 205, i like all bout this car, small, hot, not so hard to repair, information on web, and of course a big opportunities to make it a road-killer car)

I put my soviet car on a sell, and hope i can get some money from selling, cos i am just a student, dont have a lot of money, but something i have from my job, so the budget is something about 2500-3000 dollars.

Guys, please, help me to choose a right one of cars, i know there is no members in my country, but i can give some photos of selling cars, some info bout them, and i hope in a few monthes i can get one of 205s and will be a real member of your club.

Thanks for reading, sorry for mistakes, Andrey)

It might be hard for us to advise you from another country but we will try :) if you see something for sale, you could post a link here and we will have a look if you can help us translate the description?

It is the best decision, but my country taxes is crazy for an any cars.

just look for example.

i used program to check how much it will be

so - 1500 euros is price, and engine is 1.6, car is older then 8 years.

so the price with taxes will be 5,820 euros.

and taxes is 4,320 euros.

here is 2 euros for one cm2 engine, 1.600 x 2 = 3200 euros

and taxes for 1000.

what i can say, post ussr countrys and their laws like in jungles))

Read some info and have a question already

Cos i have only 45 205s in sell now, what u think bout 309?

And please give an advice - i need to look for a good engine first, or i can buy with not a powerfull engine and just swap it later? This question is asked cos sometimes cars in better condition have a peacefull motors.

Thanks
