I might be back this spring, looking for a nice standard 1.9 to grow even dafter and old with 8 valves Skip brown or TT might be an option but standard is best for me

Mmmm maybe as you know Henry I've won Concourse events and also built my Black 205 GT16V thats just won the Scottish speed championships so to be fair that's a 360 degree circle of 205 ownership.

 

This time Round I just want a nice one that needs a bit of TLC, like you Ive a few rug rats and not as much time to play in the garage with them anymore albeit I will tackle any job on a 205 no problem.

 

Some of the prices are a bit daft some balloons asking are over £5k for 100,000 plus mile a polished up car that to the trained eye needs a complete engine strip/rebuild and suspension over all not with half that figure hence there still for sale 2 years on.

 

Think I will have a phase 2 this time round had a load of 205's but not many phase two models... So on the look for one but will be patient for the right on to come along.

 

Keeping it totally standard too nice clean straight and standard

I also know of a red 205Gti that needs a new axle and has a cracked exhaust manifold!

 

Other than that looking at it is real clean and tidy... its up for sale but the guy wants to sort it before he sells it but doesnt want to pay the price... this is also a 2min drive from my house and its a 1.9 that been well serviced for the duration the guy has had it.... i bet you would get it off him for fairly cheap. send me a Pm if your interested and we will go have a look

When you've been around these cars for the time I have there's no forgetting them.

 

The problem is I owned my first one in 1990 ... That's a long time ago, I was in the origional Peugeot 205 GTI club and went on club 89 track days !!! That's a distant memory...

 

One thing that remains is the day I collected my first one 1.6 white GTI. F595 YKD were is that now I wonder ?

Don't remember that but he has just about finished fitting a turbo conversion afaik & was rebuilding his rear beam last week for a trackday, think it might've been snowed off though.
