Autosport Show This Weekend

Recommended Posts

Have seen this show mentioned in a few threads but not one specifically for it...

Overall, I think it is a massive market which you had to pay to get into. None the less it had quite a few nice cars throughout...

Here's a link to the pics I took::

I wasn't that impressed to be honest - just realised yours was the car I left a PSCUK flyer on as I parked not far from you.

Only 3 halls, 1 of which was virtually empty with cafes etc.

Not a patch on the NEC Classic which is probably too big.

I was wondering who that was. Actually gave me the incentive to look at another forum.. Or it will when I get round to it...

I had a good time non the less, went with my dad as a birthday gift to me... He paid me petrol and tickets so cost him a fortune in fuel alone (1.25 tanks used). My brother-out-law had a friend with his stock car on show, so was a good chance to see them too... 390miles done in one day, car didn't skip a beat!!

only reason i went was the attraction of the bargains on site and being able to get hands on with some kit i need.

Mrs tried on about 15 helmets so we now know what make's sizze's fit, can hunt on ebay.

I tried plenty of seats so know what fits.

Bought plenty of stuff and probably saved £150 by shopping at the show on a total spend of around £700. happy days

What on earth were you buying???

My old man and out-laws were massively impressed with the live show, have to say the only thing that really impressed me was the bikes at the start of it... The rest of it was a bit old hat having been to a few FCS' over the years.

Go during the week as a trade person and then you'll see what is good about the show.

The weekends is just the commercial tosh that is left when the good stuff goes home Friday night.

went friday last year and barely anything there on the stands that had set up, and quite a few retailers not there so took the punt on saturday this time.

What was i buying...racing battery, rose joints, tools, electrical consumables and build items. see my progress thread in race/rally prep to see how much work i've got infront of me :)

We were there in the engineering hall thursday and friday, its nice meeting customers past, present and future hopefully to ensure we are living up to our name! I didn't get a chance to look around much unfortunately other than at our competitors stands but I think its still worth a visit.

both engines were liked by a geared drive box hence facing opposite directions. no diff so these cars have to be slid

I was highly impressed by it!!

My dad came to the conclusion that it was just a show car as there were no drive shafts and the holes didn't line up...

I'm very curious about this car more than most others that I saw up there!! Want to see it moving now!!
