hi guys just joined up .so this officially my 1st post..

ive recently aquired an 88 1.6 gti...

ive been into subarus for the past 6yrs....

my question is has anyone grafted subaru engine 4wheel drive system into a 205.

i know and have seen it done on the likes of mk1 fiestas...and engines put into beetles

iam currently breaking my last impreza and have all the goodies just sat there it was pushung 360bhp@flywheel

so would make for an interesting 205

any pics info would be a help

many thanks

I have a 205 and impreza at the moment also :)

Been following this project on scoobynet for a while, starting to look something like now:

One day if I have the time and space I'd love to do something like this, probably with Evo running gear (one of those on the lancer register too).

A lad near me is doing this, his is a dimma shell on a shortened scooby floor pan.

You'd struggle without wide arches

Do it!!

I've got a 360hp 2.5 engine in my classic type R and that would be quite something if I stuck it all in my 205 Rallye.

Looks like a lot of weight over the front wheels though the low COG will help matters. I would be looking at running an intercooler boxed out at the rear of the engine with a T16 style exit (air being ducted in from the front)

I have to say it looks a stunning build and will sound immense.

It should be called a Pugaru

There is a mk11 ralling over here with impreza running gear, not going to help 205 related but thought id lob it in.

another option is make it mid-engined...............then what do you put in the engine bay ??

or just make it rear wheel drive which would sit the engine further back and you could use flipped inlet manifold

like peviously said the engine sits to far forward in 4wd situ
